Set up by husband and wife team Lesley and Steve Rogers, Garden Tribe is a  young and growing business which aims to bring something a bit different to the gardening market. The business was set up as a result of our own experiences as gardeners looking to buy things for ourselves to wear and use in the garden. We were looking for something more stylish and modern, rather than the traditional designs that are found in most garden centres.

When we realised that we were unable to find such products, we decided to do something about it, and Garden Tribe was born. As gardeners ourselves, we design new products which not only look great but are also functional. Our unique take on the traditional garden apron is a good example of that approach. Frustrated by constantly loosing secateurs and trowels (what exactly does happen to them?) we sat down and designed our own tool holder/pouch to be both practical and also funky looking.

Going by the reaction this received when we unveiled it at Gardeners World Live in June 2006, it is exactly what many of you had been waiting for. Lesley was very excited to be interviewed by BBC Radio Cumbria, who had spotted our apron as one of the most innovative new products at the show. It was also featured as new product of the week in Amateur Gardening magazine in August, and has subsequently been featured on BBC1's Gardeners World.

The comments and suggestions that we get at garden and flower shows allow us to constantly develop and improve our range. Keep an eye out for new products coming later this year......
